I’m based in Jackson County, Michigan— a community equal parts spark, soul and grit. I am licensed to practice throughout the beautiful state of Michigan.
-
First things first—it’s nothing like being in a staff meeting on Zoom. (We’ve all had enough of those.) Online therapy with me is engaging, interactive and just the two of us.
Sessions take place through GoogleMeet, a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll receive a private link that will be uniquely yours to reuse every time we meet. You’ll want to find a quiet, comfortable space with a reliable internet connection (and please, not while driving!). Ideally, the place you choose will offer confidentiality, so you don’t need to worry about people overhearing your session.
You’ll also need to be physically located in Michigan, the state where I’m licensed (see FAQ #1).
Research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions. Many of my clients say they feel deeply connected through the screen—and love the flexibility and ease of meeting from the comfort of home.
-
Yes. I offer in-person appointments at my office in lovely Brooklyn, Michigan.
-
Before our first session, you’ll complete paperwork online through my secure platform. I review your responses ahead of time so we can spend our session digging into what really matters.
I’ll ask clarifying questions to better understand you, identifying areas of focus and discussing potential therapeutic approaches that align with your preferences and concerns. We’ll also review practice policies and procedures.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear understanding of the therapy process, a sense of the steps we’ll take to support your growth and an open invitation to ask questions or express any concerns. The goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported and hopeful about the path forward.
It’s normal to feel nervous! I’m there to offer a space of ease, calm and trust as you step into this new and uncharted journey.

I am an out-of-network provider. That means I don’t work directly with any insurance companies, however, you can likely receive some reimbursement when you see me as an out-of-network provider.
To find out what may be covered, contact your insurance and ask if you have out-of-network mental health coverage. You may also want to mention the type of license that I have to ensure services with my type of credential are covered; I am a Limited Licensed Psychologist.
You may also want to ask:
What your deductible is
What your co-insurance payment will be
If you need authorization for your visits
Details on how to submit a superbill
How many visits you get per year
*Note: For confidentiality purposes, I do not directly work with your insurance company so any reimbursement/submission of superbills/communication about benefits is your responsibility and the full session payment is expected at the time of service.
By not taking insurance, I can give my full attention to you—without a system dictating your diagnosis, treatment or how many sessions you should have.
In addition, I can offer extended sessions, which aren’t typically an option with insurance. Many folks find this allows for deeper exploration and insight, helping them progress more quickly and fully.
Just a heads-up: issuing a superbill does require a mental health diagnosis.

I offer either 50-minute or 80-minutes sessions. I schedule appointments Monday-Thursday 9am-4pm. I am not able to offer evening or weekend appointments at this time.
Clients will have a standing weekly appointment, same day and same time, unless other arrangements are made. Some clients may come in more often. As treatment winds down, clients may transition to biweekly sessions.
-
Ah, the age-old question.
There is great variability in how long people need to be in therapy. Every person’s growth unfolds in its own season. As a starting point, in my experience, clients can typically expect to begin seeing benefits within 3 months. Some individuals find that they benefit from short-term therapy, which may last a few months, while other clients feel more supported by longer-term therapy. We will work together to find the length of time that works for you.
-
Therapy is a profound commitment and a meaningful investment in yourself. I reserve dedicated time and space to honor that. Because your session is held exclusively for you, I have a no-cancellation policy.
I am committed to your growth and transformation, and because of this I only see clients at a minimum of weekly, with the option for more! The exception to this would be the possibility of transitioning to biweekly sessions as therapy moves to a close.
Given 48 hours notice, your session can be rescheduled for the same week or the week after given availability.
I also offer two ‘free’ cancellations per calendar year. In this case, twice a year, an appointment does not need to be rescheduled and there will be no charge.
This work is a sacred kind of rebellion—choosing yourself, again and again. It takes time, energy, and heart, but what waits on the other side is a version of you that feels steady, alive and unmistakably your own. I’ll be right there—walking beside you through both the mess and the magic, fully present and fully committed to your healing journey.
-
I offer every new client a free 15-minute video consultation to determine if we are a good fit. Finding a therapist who “speaks your language” and can meet you where you are is the key to a productive therapeutic journey.

Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide clients who are not utilizing insurance with an estimate of the anticipated costs for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You are entitled to request a Good Faith Estimate for the complete expected expenses of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy, either before scheduling a service or at any point during your treatment. If you receive a bill that exceeds your Good Faith Estimate by at least $400, you have the option to contest the bill. It's important to retain a copy or a photo of your Good Faith Estimate. For inquiries or more details regarding your right to a Good Faith Estimate and how to challenge a bill, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
